I have a widowed sister-in-law that fell for a Facebook scammer using some of those images.
I know she sent the scammer $10,000, maybe more in early 2021.
She’s now in a nursing home
Was messaged by someone using these pictures under the name Frank Gomez claiming to be a surgeon from Rome that grew up in Miami and was now in Pakistan. I like to think of myself as the type that will never be catfished, here’s the reason why; he told me he grew up in Miami. Great! I spent years there working for a cruise company, tested his geography. Failed miserably. Then asked him what time it was in Pakistan as I know they are currently four hours ahead of me. He gave me a time that was only two. Told me he was on a US army base on a peace keeping mission. Google never lies. Failed. There are currently no base camps in Pakistan. Then, I reversed image searched his pictures and tadaaaaaa. Not that I needed any more proof that he was lying, just was curious who the poor owner of the pictures was. I confronted him because let’s be honest, he is not a decent human being and is not worth any amount of politeness. He admitted to being a 16 year old boy in Nigeria. The location I believe, not so sure about the age. Especially when he went on to tell me he does it to be able to pay for school… and that both of his parents were dead. There is a joke in my group of friends that you don’t lie to me, because I investigate. If anyone wants help trying to find out if someone is a scam artist just let me know.

Scammer ! My sister was recently scammed out of alot of money by dr fernando gomes pinto. Other people are stealing his photos and scamming woman but he is doing it too ! Thats how he gets away with it. He skyped with my sister several times . Its not a recording ! They talked back and fourth live on skpe just like you would with a friend. Its him ! Hes a corrupt doctor. But karma will catch up with him some day !
The scummers can use his original name.
This is highly unlikely. He’s a successful wealthy celebrity in Brazil. He doesn’t need to waste his time trying to get tiny amounts of money from nobodies in other countries! If your sister talked to someone on (did you see it for yourself?) it was almost certainly a lookalike and not him.
This man dr Fernando is still being used today on MM site .. claiming to be a soldier 6/3/2020
Found him on Tinder netherlands under the name Alex today, confronted him and then he removed our match
